One variation you did not address: does it matter if you do the linking while in your local file, or is it better to open the central file when linking in another Revit model?

Hi Dan,

It is probably better to do the linking from your local file and not the central. You should avoid working directly in the central file for the most part since it really is designed to stay on the server and be saved to from local files. Anything you link in and save back to central from your local file will update the central file.
