You'd think if they are *must have tools*, that they would be part of the main program!

The only thing that Autodesk *must have* these days is the customers Money.

The way that Autodesk have structured the fees these days, it's impossible to not be on Subscription because Autodesk won't allow you to skip releases (without paying through them) if you think product development is performing poorly, such as with Revit 2010. So even if you miss a release, you still end up paying for it, even it you don't use it.

So I would hardly call the *must have* add-ons as a benefit, given the only logical financial choice you have these days is to be on Subscription.
