I've included a few tips below regarding the Worksharing Log file [this is the log file with the .SLOG extension]. You can locate this file in the central file backup folder...
Usernames & Error Messages
Check out my previous post # 2 for some additional information on how the username is organized, and what to search under to locate error messages here.
Synchronize with Central
Synchronize with Central is recorded in the worksharing log file as:
STC:CFV central=8
The line =8 should refer to the synchronize number; for example this was the 8th synchronize with central using this local file, with this username.
Reload Latest
Each reload latest process will start and end with the same line:
2010-05-18 16:22:11.886 >RL
Date, time, Reload Latest. There should be around 13 lines between the 2 >RL lines for each reload latest.
Element Borrowing
When an element, instead of an entire workset, is set editable it is recorded in the worksharing log as follows:
ME:MEE:LockUsers RW locked
ME:MEE:LockUsers RW unlocked
For each element borrowed there should be one series of lines containing the RW locked & RW unlocked.
Workset Editable
When you set an entire workset editable it will appear in the worksharing log similar to below; each workset made editable will start and end with the same line:
2010-05-18 16:33:17.418 >WSD
I hope this helps should you ever need to troubleshoot a worksharing issue!
