Alert! Action required to prevent service interruptions for Autodesk Desktop Subscription customers

Today, Autodesk will perform an upgrade to a security protocol that will enhance our ability to provide secure access to Desktop Subscription software. The upgrade is in response to published information describing a vulnerability in SSL 3.0, a communication protocol designed to provide security over computer networks. The vulnerability, called POODLE, is an industry-wide vulnerability and is affecting the SSL 3.0 protocol itself and is not specific to Autodesk products.

For Revit users specifically, you may have other issues connecting to A360 in Revit, as well as accessing a number of cloud services.

Alert! Upcoming downtime for update to A360 Collaboration for Revit 2015

On Friday, March 13th beginning at 5pm PST the A360 Collaboration for Revit (C4R) service will be updated to version 4. Additionally, the A360 Platform will be updated on Saturday, March 14th. We expect both services to be restored late on Saturday night. The service will not be available during this time and a notification on this blog will follow when the service has been restored.

Due to some necessary security enhancements, previous installations of C4R will stop working after this update. All C4R team members will be required to apply Revit Update Release 7 and install the new v4 C4R addon. Users will be alerted via the Autodesk Application Manager when these updates become available, as well as the C4R download page. We always try to avoid “blocking updates”, but in this case we decided that the security improvement warranted the situation.

Update to planned downtime for Collaboration for Revit this weekend

The Planned Collaboration for Revit update has been changed. The following e-mail was sent out to Collaboration for Revit users explaining change:

Planned downtime for update to A360 Collaboration for Revit® 2015 ***Postponed until March 13***

The update to the A360 platform scheduled for Saturday, March 7^th has been postponed until Saturday, March 14^th. This will coincide with a planned update to A360 Collaboration for Revit (C4R) beginning the evening of Friday, March 13. There will be no downtime March 6 or 7.

[UPDATE] Roadmap for planned downtime for Collaboration for Revit

As updates to Collaboration for Revit and Autodesk A360 require small windows in downtime, we wanted to lay out the roadmap for upcoming downtime in service for Collaboration for Revit and Autodesk A360.

The planned downtimes are as follows:

C4R 2015.5 and C4R 2016.0 – April 17

C4R 2015.6 and C4R 2016.1 - May 15
